More details

The Genate Test is a saliva-based genetic test you can take at home in minutes. Simply swab your mouth with the collection device and return your sample in the postage-paid box. Knowing if you efficiently metabolize one carbon nutrition is critically important for both you and your developing fetus or newborn. These nutrients are the primary building blocks for developing the brain and nervous system and support healthy gene expression and chromosomal stability. The test evaluates a unique set of genetic markers that are not reviewed by other genetic tests and reports on the following metabolic pathways and genes:

• Folate and choline metabolism Genes: MTHFR and MTHFD1

• Phosphatidylcholine and choline synthesis Genes: PEMT, CHK, and SLC44A1

• DNA Methylation Genes: MTR and BHMT

• Choline and betaine metabolism Genes: CHDH

• Fatty acid metabolism (DHA)Genes: PNPLA3, APOC3, FADS2, and SCD

Your Genate Report provides information on genetic variants that can have an impact on the metabolism of the following. nutrients: choline, folate, DHA, betaine, A, B6, B12, C, D, K, riboflavin, calcium, iron, and magnesium.

This test does not provide medical advice or diagnose any medical conditions. Consult with a healthcare provider if you have any concerns regarding your results.

Your genetic data will be processed via the Genate Test algorithm, and you will receive a report regarding your metabolic inefficiencies that can cause depletions in important nutrients. The report will be shared with you via a secure, password-protected portal. This access will not be shared with anyone, including employees of SNP Therapeutics, healthcare providers, insurance companies, or law enforcement agents without your consent or the demand of a court order.
